Issyk Kul Resort

This tourism development is located on the shores of Issyk-Kul, one of Central Asia’s largest saltwater lakes in Kyrgyzstan, set within a continental climate and mountainous landscape. The masterplan includes a 100-room hotel with full amenities and five independent beachfront villas.

The hotel’s curvilinear layout follows the natural contours of the shoreline, translating sinuous forms from plan into three-dimensional architecture. Soft, folded planes shape the roofs and solid volumes, while extensive glazing defines the vertical enclosures, enhancing transparency and lightness. The entrance façade features a rhythmic mix of glass and opaque panels, punctuated by solid vertical cores for circulation. Lakefront terraces emphasize horizontal lines with undulating parapets and varied transparency. A low pavilion opens onto the pool area, and the entire complex integrates with the surrounding park through continuous, ground-emerging curved planes, reinforcing a seamless relationship between architecture and landscape.
